Hello, everybody, welcome to Friday, S&P 500 was up .3%. Today, I always like to end Friday on positive news. And all of our targeted indexes did better than the broad market today, which is great. Our top performer for the day was our targeted index around genomics and immunotherapy. It was up 2.6% today, which is a lot more than the broad markets. And in the last three months, since we’ve owned it, it’s up 35.4%, which is fantastic. But they’re doing here in this targeted indexes company, BlackRock, which is the largest money manager in the world has identified five mega trends, one of which is the aging population. And they’ve created this targeted index around what I call advanced medicine.
And so Genomics, they’re looking at your DNA sequence. In 2006, it costs $14 million to get your personal DNA sequence and genome sequence. And now it’s $1,000. So that that’s a big deal. And then immunotherapy, of course, the leading stock in this particular targeted index is Moderna, which is also the leading stock right now in this battle for trying to find a vaccine. They have a stage three trial that’s going to start next week, which is quite exciting. And so and they’ve had some really good news about their stage one trial, and so that that’s actually affecting the whole market, obviously. But it’s one of the reasons why I like a targeted index is try instead of trying to figure out an individual stock, I think one of these companies might come up with a vaccine, I buy the whole basket, and then hope for the best. And so that’s worked out quite well here. And that’s one of our pieces of the portfolio. And so, that’s the story for the day, quite helpful.
We are seeing, you know, the market every time the market wants to go down, it’s hitting the support levels, and then going up and we’ve actually now created three different support levels. So I’m very, very hopeful that things will continue to go forward here. But we’ve got a lot of overhead resistance to try to get through. So let’s see what happens next week.
