Important Reminders About the September 5th Schwab Transition

We want to remind you that your accounts will transition from TD Ameritrade to Schwab on Tuesday, September 5th.  We are less than two weeks away from the transition date and by now you should’ve received communications from Schwab with information about the September 5th transition and a welcome packet with your new account numbers.

Here are some important reminders and information……

What will NOT change:

  • Your relationship with Retirement Capital Strategies as your investment advisor and how we manage your accounts will NOT change.
  • Your existing recurring withdrawals and deposits will NOT change and will continue to process as usual.

What WILL change on September 5th:

  • Your accounts will now be held with Schwab.
  • Your account number(s) will change.
  • Online account access through TD Ameritrade’s Advisor Client will no longer be available after September 1st.  You can access your new Schwab accounts online on Tuesday, September 5th, through Schwab Alliance.  If you are currently signed up for advisorclient.com and have not yet logged in to create your new Schwab credentials, we encourage you to do so by Friday, August 25th
  • If you have a TD Ameritrade checkbook, a new Schwab checkbook will arrive in the mail before the transition date.  Any outstanding TD Ameritrade checks that have not cleared will still be honored.  However, you should start to use your new Schwab checks on September 5th and going forward as needed.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about transition.  You can also find more information and FAQs at welcome.schwab.com/alliance.

Many thanks for your patience and continued trust.

Sincerely,

Tom Vaughan & Staff
